About Sons of the Forest Split-Screen
Sons of the Forest is the sequel to The Forest, developed by Endnight Games. It supports up to 8 players in online co-op and has a strong community of Nucleus Co-Op users.
The game's survival mechanics — building shelters, fighting mutants, managing hunger and health — are all enhanced by co-op play, making local split-screen particularly engaging.
As a relatively recent game (2023), the handler is actively maintained and updated. The Nucleus community has strong support for Sons of the Forest on the subreddit and game setup library.
Performance with two instances requires a modern PC, as Sons of the Forest uses a demanding engine. A GPU with 8GB VRAM and a 6-core CPU is recommended for stable dual-instance play.
